Another Link and More??

Still looking for ways to add a link to your website? Of course you are! Here is an interesting idea. Write reviews. When selecting a new book from Amazon I frequently check the reviews to see what other people thought of it before I buy. It dawned on me that this might be another way to build some name recognition for my site and perhaps get a high PR link out of it.

First the link. Well you only get one. When you create a profile you can add a website link in with your information. So if someone is interested they can check out your profile and click your link. This does give the benefit of passing some page rank.

The main benefit that I see is in the text of the review. As most of us who use forums know, if your comment is useful and not just spam, people will attach value to your opinion. Write a good useful review of a book and end the review with “Your friend at www.topwebsitetips.com” (feel free to use my website however you might want to substitute your own). You now have a permanent advertisement to your website. Write enough of these and the traffic will start flowing.

Now, books are not the only way this works. You can also write reviews using Alexa. After looking at a site, spend a minute going to Alexa and writing a short review of the site. With your “Your Friend” signature (or what ever you want to use) at the bottom, every time someone checks the site they will also see your website in the review.

So, does this mean drop all other site promotion and start writing reviews for a living? Probably not, but if you are looking for yet another piece of the internet traffic pie this might be it.

If you found this page useful, consider linking to it.
